5. Private Journals and Content Sharing

Your personal entries are private by default.

Your private journal entries, prayer requests, healing reflections, dreams, Bible notes, and spiritual timeline are not intended to be visible to other users unless you choose to share them through an available feature.

Other users cannot view your private entries simply because they use Heed God or belong to a community you participate in.

When you deliberately share content through a community or another sharing feature, that content may become visible to the audience identified by the feature's settings.

Before sharing content, consider whether it contains sensitive information about you or another person.

People who can view shared content may be able to copy, screenshot, or retain it. Removing the original content cannot guarantee that every copy has been deleted.

We may permit authorized personnel or service providers to access or process information where necessary for technical operations, security, support, legal compliance, or other legitimate purposes, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.

Our privacy commitments must be supported by the actual application configuration, database permissions, access controls, and sharing functionality.

6. AI Features and Dream Dictionary

Heed God may use artificial intelligence to provide features such as summarizing information you have already entered. The application may also provide a dream dictionary that offers general information about possible dream meanings.

6.1 AI-assisted summaries

When you choose to use an AI-assisted feature, the information needed to provide that feature may be processed by the relevant AI provider.

AI-generated summaries may be incomplete, inaccurate, or omit important context. You should review them before relying on them.

6.2 Dream dictionary

The dream dictionary is intended to provide general information about possible dream meanings for personal reflection.

It does not establish the definitive meaning of a dream or guarantee that a dream, impression, or event is a message from God. Users should exercise their own judgment and prayerful discernment.

6.3 AI training

Our stated policy is that your personal content is not used to train AI models.

This commitment must be supported by the settings, contracts, and data-handling arrangements of the AI providers used by Heed God.

6.4 AI providers

AI features may be supported by third-party technology providers, potentially including OpenAI where enabled. The application may also rely on its development and hosting platform for AI-related processing.

We will identify the relevant providers in this policy or supplementary disclosures where required, and update this policy if our material data-processing practices change.

We do not represent AI-generated content as guaranteed spiritual truth or as a substitute for your own discernment.

7. How We Share Personal Information

We may share information in the following circumstances.

7.1 Service providers

We may use third-party providers to support:

  • •Application hosting and databases.
  • •Authentication and account management.
  • •AI-assisted features.
  • •Payment processing and subscription management.
  • •Customer support.
  • •Security, diagnostics, and technical operations.

These providers may process personal information as necessary to provide their services. Where required, we will use appropriate contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards.

7.2 Content you choose to share

Information you intentionally share through community or other sharing features may be visible to the audience identified by those features.

7.3 Legal and safety purposes

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, protect the rights or safety of users, investigate fraud or abuse, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

7.4 Business transactions

Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, restructuring, financing, acquisition, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable legal requirements and safeguards.

7.5 No sale of private journal content

We do not intend to sell your private journal entries, prayers, dreams, or healing reflections.

We do not intend to use these private entries for targeted advertising. If our advertising or data-sharing practices change materially, we will update this policy and provide any required notice, consent, or opt-out mechanisms.

8. International Data Transfers

Heed God is operated from Canada and may be accessed by users worldwide.

Our service providers may process or store information in Canada, the United States, or other countries, depending on the infrastructure and integrations used.

Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws in your place of residence.

Where required, we will implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers and comply with applicable legal requirements.

Before publication, we will confirm the locations used by our hosting, database, AI, authentication, and payment providers.

9. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, subject to applicable law.

9.1 Account deletion

You may request deletion of your account through the available account settings or by emailing contact@heedgod.com.

Our intended policy is to delete or irreversibly de-identify personal information associated with a deleted account within 90 days of the deletion request.

During that period, information may remain in restricted systems while deletion is completed.

9.2 Exceptions

Certain information may be retained for longer where necessary to:

  • •Comply with legal obligations.
  • •Maintain required financial or transaction records.
  • •Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • •Address security incidents, fraud, or abuse.
  • •Complete deletion from backup systems that cannot reasonably be purged immediately.

Any retained information will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the relevant retention purpose. Backup copies will be removed or overwritten under the applicable backup retention process.

9.3 Deleting the application

Removing Heed God from your device does not necessarily delete your account or information stored on our systems. You must submit an account deletion request separately.

Deleting an account also does not necessarily cancel a subscription held through a separate payment provider. You should cancel that subscription separately.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.

Depending on the systems used, safeguards may include access controls, authentication, secure data transmission, restricted administrative access, monitoring, and backup procedures.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. We cannot promise that unauthorized access, data loss, or other security incidents will never occur.

You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

If a privacy breach occurs, we will take appropriate steps and provide notifications where required by applicable law.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • •Request access to your personal information.
  • •Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • •Request deletion of personal information.
  • •Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
  • •Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • •Request a portable copy of certain information.
  • •Opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising where applicable.
  • •Complain to a relevant privacy regulator.

These rights may be subject to legal conditions and exceptions.

To make a request, email contact@heedgod.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Residents of Canada, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and certain US states may have additional rights under applicable privacy legislation.

Where required, we will provide supplementary notices, processes, or contact information to support those rights.

12. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website or application may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to:

  • •Maintain login sessions.
  • •Remember preferences.
  • •Support security.
  • •Provide essential functionality.
  • •Measure performance and diagnose technical issues.

If analytics, advertising, or other non-essential technologies are enabled, we will provide consent or preference controls where required by applicable law.

You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain technologies may affect functionality.

The specific technologies used should be confirmed against the live website and application before this policy is published.

13. Third-Party Services

Heed God may integrate with third-party services, including Google sign-in, AI providers, hosting platforms, and payment providers.

Those services may have their own privacy policies and terms. Our handling of information remains subject to applicable law and any responsibilities we have under our agreements with those providers.

We encourage users to review relevant third-party policies where appropriate.

14. International and Regional Privacy Requirements

We intend to comply with the privacy requirements applicable to our operations and users.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include Canadian federal or provincial privacy legislation, the European General Data Protection Regulation, UK data-protection legislation, and applicable US state privacy laws.

This policy does not waive any privacy right that cannot legally be waived. Additional disclosures, consent mechanisms, data-processing agreements, or procedures may be necessary for particular jurisdictions.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Heed God develops, our technology changes, or legal requirements evolve.
